Kaleidoscope Artist: Sam Douglas

Sam Douglas: Here is an artist that dared to build artistic kaleidoscopes out of plastic, usually in the shapes of buildings. He made them for a short time before deciding to take his talents in other directions. My first impression of his scopes was strongly negative, but I have grown to love both of the ones I own.

Kaleida Chrome: This kaleidoscope is from 1991. It is the shorter of the two shown in the photograph below.
Empire: A nice replica of the Empire State Building, it is dated 1990.
